OptimAir 6HC PAPR
Specifically designed to protect health care professionals from residual chemical, biological or radiological agents when they're performing first responder duties, the lightweight 6-pound OptimAir 6HC PAPR is effective even in homeland security situations. The system features a chemical-resistant Tychem SL hood and belt-mounted blower with two HC cartridges. The canisters contain a pleated high-efficiency (P100) filter to remove aerosols, radionuclides and solid particulates as well as an impregnated activated carbon bed to absorb (filter out) gases and vapors. The carbon bed is the same as used in military canisters and is effective against mustard (HD), Sarin (GB), DMMP (a Sarin simulant), HCN and CK. The system includes the Tychem Hood, motor/blower module, lithium battery, breathing tube, belt and 2 HC cartridges. The lithium battery features four hours of wear time and a 10-year shelf life. NIOSH TC-23C-2201 approved.
