Bradley Emergency Thermostatic Mixing Valves
Emergency Thermostatic Mixing Valves blend hot and cold water to a tepid flushing temperature (65°-95°). ANSI Z358.1-2004 requires tepid water to assure the eyewash and drench shower do not subject the user to scalding or freezing water temperatures. Bradley valves feature an exclusive fixed cold-water bypass, which allows only cold water to flow through the valve in the event of loss or interruption of hot water supply or thermostat malfunction. Valves are pre-set at 85°F, but can be adjusted to other temperature set points. Bradley Corporation recommends the use of the S19-866, 20 GPM showerhead flow control when sizing drench showers and combination units. Valves are available in four options to accommodate various equipment applications.
